Helping Wounded Soldiers
The Russian invasion of Donbass region of Ukraine left thousands of casualties. Nova Ukraine supports the efforts of the US charity Revived Soldiers Ukraine to provide medical rehabilitation to wounded Ukrainian soldiers with serious spinal trauma. Revived Soldiers Ukraine cooperates with rehabilitation center “Next Step” to provide a much-needed rehab physical training for soldiers who would otherwise be stuck in wheelchairs.
How are we helping?
In 2015 and 2016 Nova Ukraine hosted several fundraising events for Sergei Titarenko and Rustam Rosul. We showed them San Francisco and Silicon Valley, visited Google and Facebook. The community raised more than $5,000 to pay for their medicines and rehab bills. We keep connections with Sergey and Rustam who returned home and continue to send them medical supplies that are not available in Ukraine.
In 2017 we invited two other wounded soldiers, Olexander Ponomaryov and Andrey Melnik (on the photo with Los Angeles volunteers). They plan to visit San Francisco and vicinity and meet local hromada on March 4-7, 2017.

Donations
We are asking the communities in the United States and around the world to support the cause and help wounded Ukranian soldiers rehabilitate.
