Who We Are
Nova Ukraine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine and raising awareness about Ukraine in the United States and throughout the world. Thanks to your generous donations, we fund a variety of projects to help the people of Ukraine and to strengthen Ukraine’s democratic society. The Nova Ukraine team and volunteers have been working tirelessly to help those in need. We greatly appreciate the overwhelming support from the community. Our Impact So Far
Since 2014, Nova Ukraine has run a variety of successful humanitarian projects in Ukraine. Since 2022 to date, we have raised over $180 million and have helped over 12 million Ukrainians with an operating expense percentage in single digits.

The series begins on September 3 with the iconic Ukrainian avant garde film, Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors, renowned for its breathtaking cinematography, rich folklore, and revolutionary visual language. More than sixty years after its release, it remains one of the defining works of Ukrainian cultural heritage and a landmark of world cinema.

In the Mykolaiv region, another Russian attack damaged energy infrastructure, leaving more than 300,000 people without power.
This comes after months of repeated and escalating attacks that have destroyed homes, hospitals, warehouses, energy infrastructure, and affected entire communities across Ukraine.
Our deepest condolences go to the families and loved ones of those killed.
We are thinking of everyone injured and all those whose lives have once again been upended by Russia’s attacks.
The system connects all critical school infrastructure to backup power, including the main building, kitchen, lighting, water supply, shelter, boiler room, and a second school building. It IS integrated with the existing generator so multiple backup sources can work together.
With the new system in place, the school can stay open across the entire facility during outages. Approximately 108 students are expected to attend in the 2026/2027 academic year.
Together, we’re keeping the lights on in Ukraine.
Points of Invincibility — a network of 56 warming centers established by Nova Ukraine with the support of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation inside Ukraine’s railway stations — are open and responding. We operate them in partnership with Ukrzaliznytsia.
Our volunteer Vita was on the ground in Kyiv. In her words:
"Today, we handed out about a thousand bottles of water and tea. The alert would end, we would go back up, and fifteen minutes later we would go back down because a new alert would start. It was one of the hardest days of work."
We’re here helping Ukrainians stay safe, even in times like this.
