These are pictures of a fluid and blood warmer that Nova Ukraine purchased and delivered to one of the stabilization points. The 3M Ranger Model 245 is a highly efficient system designed to safely warm donor blood, medications, and intravenous fluids before they are administered to patients.

During major surgery or after severe blood loss, receiving large volumes of cold blood or IV fluids can cause a dangerous drop in body temperature. The 3M Ranger rapidly warms these fluids to near-normal body temperature, helping prevent intraoperative hypothermia and improving patient safety during critical care.

We will continue to support medical institutions wherever help is needed here and now.

Waking up to a night of terror.

Russia launched an 11-hour missile and drone attack on Kyiv overnight, killing at least 20 civilians and injuring more than 90. More than 50,000 people sheltered in metro stations as explosions shook the city.

Across Kyiv, damage was reported at 30 sites, most of them homes and civilian infrastructure. In Desnianskyi district, people were trapped inside a nine-story apartment building. In Darnytskyi district, six floors of another nine-story building collapsed.

And Kyiv was not alone. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a Russian guided bomb strike killed a 7-year-old girl and injured four members of her family, including an 11-year-old girl. Overnight drone attacks were also reported across multiple districts of the region.

This is how Russia wages war: hitting homes at night, forcing children underground, and burying families under rubble.

What comes next after a leadership program ends?

For graduates of Iron Squad, a leadership program for Ukrainian youth, this is only the start.

They recently met Ukraine’s First Lady, Olena Zelenska, and philanthropist Howard G. Buffett to reflect on their journeys and share how they are making a difference. From volunteers and athletes to young civic leaders, children of Ukrainian defenders, and participants in the HOMECOMING program for Ukrainian youth living abroad, these graduates are helping shape Ukraine’s future.

The day ended with a look toward the future. Together, the graduates placed the “Ukraine 2036” time capsule, which will be opened in 10 years. By that time, many of them will be working to create the future they dreamed of.

Supporting the next generation of leaders is central to Nova Ukraine’s EMPOWER pillar! With the support of The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, we work with the Iron Squad to help young people become leaders and build stronger communities!

Thirty years ago, Ukraine adopted a constitution rooted in democratic values that Ukrainians have defended ever since, and are defending now.

On June 29, Nova Ukraine was proud to serve as one of the sponsor organizations at the Ukrainian Constitution Day reception hosted by the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States at the House of Sweden in Washington, D.C.

The venue was no coincidence: the Latin-language original of the 1710 Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk, a foundational document of Ukraine’s constitutional tradition, is preserved in Sweden’s National Archives.

The evening brought together members of Congress, State Department and Pentagon officials, diplomatic representatives, and community leaders united around a shared message: Ukraine's fight for independence is also a fight for the democratic values we all believe in.

We were honored to have Ambassador Olga Stefanishyna and renowned Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko among the speakers.
