Who We Are
Nova Ukraine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine and raising awareness about Ukraine in the United States and throughout the world. Thanks to your generous donations, we fund a variety of projects to help the people of Ukraine and to strengthen Ukraine’s democratic society. The Nova Ukraine team and volunteers have been working tirelessly to help those in need. We greatly appreciate the overwhelming support from the community. Our Impact So Far
Since 2014, Nova Ukraine has run a variety of successful humanitarian projects in Ukraine. Since 2022 to date, we have raised over $180 million and have helped over 12 million Ukrainians with an operating expense percentage in single digits.

Today, residents collect drinking water from filtration stations, including those installed by Nova Ukraine and its local partners.
The equipment they carry is pushed to its limits. Fire hoses are dragged through broken concrete, debris, and twisted metal. In regions facing repeated attacks, they wear out quickly and must be replaced constantly.
Responding to direct requests from Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, Nova Ukraine delivered 400 fire hoses to units in the Sumy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions.
By helping fill urgent equipment gaps, we strengthen the emergency response system people depend on to save lives and protect critical infrastructure.
We will continue working to equip Ukrainian rescuers with the tools they need to carry out their missions safely and effectively.
Since the launch of Nova Stash in 2024, we have built a reliable network of teams across the most affected regions who answer those calls. They work in coordination with first responders and local officials, while Nova Ukraine works with them to strengthen emergency preparedness.
We receive many photos and stories of heroic work from the ground. And while it is hard to gauge which emergency deserves more coverage, we want to share a few moments from just the past couple of months from Sumy and Zaporizhzhia to Mykolaiv and Kyiv.

Since 2022, the factory has helped Nova Ukraine deliver tens of thousands of essential items to Ukrainians affected by the war.
Strikes hit homes, civilian infrastructure, and neighborhoods across the capital, killing at least one person and injuring 16. This was the third major attack on Kyiv in 35 days.
Across Ukraine, at least 16 civilians were killed and dozens more injured in Russian attacks. We extend our deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones and stand with everyone affected.
Throughout the full-scale war, it has carried millions of people to safety, kept essential supplies moving, and helped hold the country together. During major attacks, transportation hubs also become part of Ukraine’s emergency response. On the night of July 1–2 alone, 52,500 people, including nearly 4,500 children, sheltered in Kyiv’s metro.
That is why easy access to lifesaving equipment matters.
As part of the Iron Youth project, 51 automated external defibrillators were purchased and installed at railway stations across Ukraine, making lifesaving first aid more accessible when every minute counts.
The project was implemented by Nova Ukraine in partnership with Укрзалізниця - Ukrzaliznytsia with funding from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
