Who We Are
Nova Ukraine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine and raising awareness about Ukraine in the United States and throughout the world. Thanks to your generous donations, we fund a variety of projects to help the people of Ukraine and to strengthen Ukraine’s democratic society. The Nova Ukraine team and volunteers have been working tirelessly to help those in need. We greatly appreciate the overwhelming support from the community. Our Impact So Far
Since 2014, Nova Ukraine has run a variety of successful humanitarian projects in Ukraine. Since 2022 to date, we have raised over $180 million and have helped over 12 million Ukrainians with an operating expense percentage in single digits.

The bill was retitled the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 in honor of the late Senator.
The vote comes on the heels of several devastating strikes on Ukraine in the last weeks that have killed and injured civilians and damaged civilian infrastructure.
The bill now goes to the House, where its passage remains in question.
That’s why the program Iron Youth, implemented by Nova Ukraine in partnership with Ukrzaliznytsia and funded by The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, stepped up to make rail journeys a little more bearable for children and families.
We’re investing in bedding to make sure train rides are comfortable, reflective wristbands to keep children visible during nighttime evacuations, thermoses to carry hot drinks, poncho raincoats for protection against the elements, and toys and logic games to help reduce stress.
Warehouses belonging to civilian businesses, a railway station, and other infrastructure were hit.
Six workers at Silpo, one of Ukraine's largest grocery chains, were killed while two of its distribution centers went up in flames.
This is the second mass attack on the capital in less than a week and civilians are paying the price.
Our deepest condolences are with the families of those killed and everyone affected by this attack.
The project, “Development of Chess Clubs and a Media Platform,” kicked off in February, and in the last six months 41 chess classes have opened across 13 Ukrainian regions, 1400 pieces of equipment have been distributed, and nearly 9,000 people have attended.
We also helped launch e2e4.ua, a chess media platform that publishes videos and hundreds of news articles, all with the goal of helping kids take an interest in chess and build their skills.
All of this is possible with funding from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
So, what does chess mean for Ukrainian kids? It’s more than a game. It’s a healthy lifestyle and a new way to grow. Checkmate.
Thanks to Nova Ukraine scholarships, these kids attended the “Motley Racoons” camp, where they rafted on the Chornohora Cheremosh River, hiked Mount Pysanyi Kamin, played airsoft games, and climbed a ropes course.
They also had the chance to have fun and smile with new friends gathering around campfires, attending creative workshops and singing music with their fellow campers.
These camps let kids build friendships and find hope in the future. We think that’s a future worth investing in.
One of its biggest hallmarks: the camping activities where kids can build friendships and learn skills.
Thanks to your help, 128 kids from vulnerable communities will be able to attend camp this summer.
