Nova Ukraine Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ukrainian Ministry of Culture to Protect & Promote Cultural Heritage

MOU Signing Ceremony Briefer -Ministry of Culture

GDANSK, Poland–Nova Ukraine today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture to solidify their collaboration to protect and promote Ukrainian cultural heritage.

At the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdansk, Poland, Nova Ukraine CEO Ambassador Erin E. McKee signed the agreement with Tetyana Berezhna, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications.

Ambassador McKee said:

“Ukraine’s cultural memory will survive this war despite Russia’s deliberate, systematic attempt to erase Ukrainian identity.

If you destroy a people’s archives, their film heritage, their museums, and their language, you destroy their claim to a distinct existence as a nation.

This is why Nova Ukraine invests in Ukraine’s greatest asset, its people. We preserve and amplify Ukrainian culture at home and abroad by supporting artists, safeguarding heritage, and strengthening national identity rooted in freedom and democratic values.

What we’re signing today is proof that Ukrainians and their American supporters are fighting back on the cultural front – and will win this war on identity.”

Deputy Prime Minister Berezhna said:

“Culture is one of Ukraine’s greatest strengths. By protecting our heritage, supporting artists, and preserving our memory, we are investing in the future of a free and democratic Ukraine.

I am grateful to Nova Ukraine for standing with us and helping turn solidarity into long-term partnerships that strengthen our cultural resilience.”
