Vice President of Advocacy
Mark Adams serves as Nova Ukraine’s Vice President of Advocacy, where he leads the strategic evolution of the organization’s mission from emergency aid to a sustainable, multi-year partnership between the United States and Ukraine. Based in Washington, D.C., he spearheads bipartisan congressional engagement, state-level legislative strategy, and the facilitation of major business and university partnerships to institutionalize enduring connections. Mark is dedicated to positioning Ukraine as a key European democratic partner while fostering a resilient civil society through direct support of anti-corruption and governance initiatives.
Mark joins Nova Ukraine from the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), where he served as Vice President for External Relations and Resource Development, leading global strategy, fundraising growth, and organizational influence in the democracy, human rights, and governance space.
Over his 18-year career, Mark has held senior leadership roles in fundraising, business development, and strategic communications, including 14 years at Population Services International (PSI), where he helped lead teams generating over $400 million in annual revenue. He has also held strategy and marketing leadership roles at Wunderman World Health, Blattner Brunner, T. Rowe Price, and Merrill Lynch.
Mark holds a B.A. in Political Science from Bucknell University and an MBA from Virginia Tech.
