Michael Simbirsky grew up in Kharkiv, Ukraine, where he studied mathematics. In the mid-1990s, he moved to Israel before finally settling in California as a software engineer. He joined Nova Ukraine in 2014 to assist internally displaced persons. Before the war, he coordinated educational projects, the project “Help to Wounded Soldiers,” and others. Since joining, he served on the board of Nova Ukraine until 2024, supporting a wide range of humanitarian initiatives.
