Bay Area Ukrainians seek word from back home — and ways to help the resistance

Nick Bilogorskiy can’t stop worrying about his family in Ukraine, 6,200 miles away. The San Jose resident said relatives in his home city of Kharkiv, about 30 miles southwest of the Russian border, are hiding in shelters from the Russian rocket and artillery attacks that have killed dozens of people in Ukraine’s second-largest city.
