On November 25, Nova Ukraine was honored with the “National Treasure” Award, recognizing our sustained humanitarian efforts and support for the people of Ukraine.

The “National Treasure” Award is given in recognition of individuals and organizations contributing to the protection, development, and support of Ukraine and its people.

Presented at a ceremony held at Zhovtnevy Palace, this honor reflects the collective impact of our donors, volunteers, and partners. Together, we are able to deliver critical humanitarian aid across Ukraine and support communities facing ongoing challenges. Thank you to every member of our global community.

WASHINGTON – Nova Ukraine applauds Congress's bipartisan passage of the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act 2026, sweeping sanctions legislation that ratchets up pressure on Moscow to end its illegal war. Nova Ukraine CEO Ambassador Erin E. McKee said: "We're grateful that Congress has finally passed real sanctions with teeth against Putin and the Russian officials waging this war, and we urge the President to sign this legislation into law without delay. Sanctions bite when they cause real economic consequences. These target the Russian defense sector and the foreign suppliers propping it up, and they go after Putin's so-called shadow fleet of tankers that has quietly financed this invasion for years.

When the Lights Go Out, Childhood Shouldn’t Have To

A new solar power system at a high school in Chernihiv Oblast will help keep heat, water, classrooms, and its shelter running through Ukraine’s hardest winters, giving students something children everywhere should be able to count on: school. Last winter, a school in Chernihiv Oblast had more days without power than with it. When the grid went down, the generators on site weren’t strong enough to power the building. Heating failed. The shelter went cold. Students who should have been in class were logging on remotely instead — if they could log on at all. This winter will be different.

(KYIV, Ukraine)--Following Ukrainian Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko’s resignation amid a NABU/SAPO investigation into an alleged scheme involving officials in the Prosecutor General’s Office and fraudulent call centers, Nova Ukraine CEO Ambassador Erin E. McKee issued the following statement: “We welcome this investigation. Accountability and the rule of law are essential to a well-functioning democracy. Nobody is above the law.While we support NABU and SAPO, we also advocate for due process, evidence, and independent judicial review. And we expect the government to safeguard the independence of anti-corruption institutions.We support a full, independent, and transparent investigation of all individuals implicated. Any credible allegations of wrongdoing involving public officials - including officials within law-enforcement or anti-corruption institutions - should likewise be investigated independently and according to the law.The same rule must apply to everyone: investigate where the evidence leads, protect due process, and let independent courts determine guilt.”
