Dear citizens of Ukraine!
Please be advised that participation in the early presidential elections in Ukraine are open to all citizens of Ukraine who are over the age of 18 on election day (May 25th).
Citizens of Ukraine who are permanently or temporarily residing abroad can participate in the vote if they are registered at one of the respective polling stations abroad, upon presentation of their valid Ukrainian passport.
In the United States, there are 4 polling stations (more information can be found at http://usa.mfa.gov.ua/…/20379-pozachergovi-vibori…). Each polling station will form a separate list of voters on the basis of the State Voter Register.
The procedure for registering to vote:
Locate your polling station on the State Voter Register webpage (www.drv.gov.ua ) under service “My Account voter.”
Changes to the list of voters (including for the polling station) can be made up to May 19 (your local time).
Given the time difference between Ukraine and the United States, citizens are urged to register to vote in advance.
WARNING! The law does not provide for voter registration after May 19.
There are 3 options for registering in a polling station abroad:
Option 1: Mail or personally submit your permanentor temporary consular registration to the Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate General of Ukraine in New York, San Francisco or Chicago (depending on the state where you live).

For citizens of Ukraine who do not wish to register on the record (or who may be in the U.S. illegally):
Option 2: Apply to the election commission in person before May 19 (local time) with the relevant application. The application must attach a copy of a valid passport and a copy of a document confirming your place of residence in the overseas polling station (copy of driver’s license, apartment lease, etc.).
Option 3: Submit to the Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate General of Ukraine (New York, San Francisco or Chicago, depending on the state where you live) application (in person) to change the polling address. The application must include a copy of a valid passport and a copy of a document confirming your place of residence in the overseas polling station (copy of driver’s license, lease an apartment, etc.).
Important Statements of change voting address must be submitted in advance, taking into account the time required for the transmission of the original application to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
