From April 6 to April 9, more than 600 advocates from all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico came together in Washington, D.C. for the Ukraine Action Summit, united in their call for continued bipartisan U.S. support for Ukraine.
The first day opened with leadership training and closed with a rally at the Lincoln Memorial, where advocates gathered to highlight the shared democratic values between the U.S. and Ukraine.
Speakers throughout the Summit included Ambassador Oksana Markarova, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Oleksandra Matviichuk, Dr. Hanna Hopko, and Rep. Tom Kean Jr. — all underscoring why U.S. support remains essential to Ukraine’s fight for freedom.
The Ukraine Action Summit also featured a screening of the Porcelain War in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center and the world premiere of No Sleep Till Kyiv.
Over four days of briefings, advocacy training, networking, and over 440 meetings of members of Congress and their aides with their constituents. The impact of grassroots advocacy was swift: more lawmakers across both chambers added their names to key legislation like H.R. 2548 and S. 1241, which would impose additional sanctions on russia for their continued aggression and support Ukraine’s recovery.
