Wishing you a Happy New Year!

Wishing you a Happy New Year!

Dear Donors and Supporters,

As the year draws to a close, we invite you to join us in a moment of reflection on the journey we’ve embarked on together.

Reflecting on 2023: A Testament to Resilience

This is the second year of Ukraine and its people enduring the full-scale invasion by russia, our resilience and determination have been tested. Yet, our spirit remains unbroken. Your support has been instrumental, allowing Nova Ukraine to deliver over 21.5 million kilograms of aid and support to over 4.5 million people in Ukraine.

Milestones of Hope and Compassion

As 2023 concludes, we carry forward the strength we have gained and the lessons we have learned. Our hope and resolve are steadfast, powered by dedicated volunteers and commitment to efficiency and transparency in our operations. We have achieved a remarkable milestone – raising over $100M to support Ukraine over these two years. Each contribution you have made has been a vital part of this effort.

Reaffirming Our Collective Resolve

In the face of recent tragic events, including the largest air attack on Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion by russia on January 29th, which affected so many lives, our collective strength and resolve are reaffirmed. We are united by the stories of courage and hope.

Your Role in Our Continued Journey

We invite you to continue this journey with us. Through donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, your support is crucial and impactful to the lives of many Ukrainians.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Thank you for being an integral part of our mission. Here’s to a New Year filled with strength, courage, and unwavering resolve as we continue to stand united in the face of adversity.

Together, let’s make 2024 a year of continued hope, resilience, and support for Ukraine.

With gratitude,
Nova Ukraine Team

When the Pain Becomes a Part of You

“Nova Ukraine's new Vector of Resilience joint pilot project helps Ukraine's veteran support specialists address burnout and secondary traumatic stress.” The program's first residential trainings, launched by Nova Ukraine and its partners, were recently held in Ukraine's Volyn Oblast. Mariia, a support specialist, almost didn't attend. Leaving the veterans and families she supported for three days filled her with guilt she couldn't shake. She worried about how they would manage without her. But when she found herself among psychologists, social workers, healthcare professionals, and community specialists who shared the same responsibilities, something changed.

A photo of a memory board created by Zmistovno students in Odesa, July 2026 Thirty-five years ago, on August 24, Ukraine restored its independence. Today, Ukrainians defend and strengthen it every single day. The United States and Ukraine are separated by geography and history, but united by the belief that people have the right to live freely and determine their own future. In July, Ambassador Erin E. McKee traveled to Odesa and Mykolaiv to meet the people and organizations living that belief: Ukrainians leading recovery in their own communities, supported by partnerships that last.
