Aug 28: Make Varenyky, Not War!

Come join us in Mountain View for the tastiest party of the summer. We’ll be making varenyky, music and new friends. Bring your own musical instruments and let’s jam together for the good cause 🙂
The party is organized by Nova Ukraine to benefit its psychological trauma fund with the goal of funding a grant to Wounded Warrior Ukraine (WWU), a project of Healing War Scars, Inc., a Boston-based NGO, founded by Roman Torgovitsky and dedicated to the recovery effort in Ukraine. WWU is empowering returning veterans and civilians alike to overcome the trauma of war, once again becoming productive members of society, and to help their peers do the same.

Please join us for a relaxed evening of food, fun, and conversation. Bring your appetite and your checkbooks, a member of Wounded Warrior Ukraine team, Nadia Shifrin will be there to answer your questions.

* Varenyki story slam– and we invite you to participate. What’s your favorite varenyky story? Everybody’s got one, so this could take a while.
* “The Best Varenyky Maker” Contest– who’s the fastest? who’s the greatest? Valuable prize awaits the winner.
* Varenyky tasting (and enjoying). Which– remember?– is the tastiest point of our gathering
* Other exciting contests, complete with prizes. And all featuring varenyki, of course.
* Introduction of the Wounded Warrior Ukraine project by our friend from Boston Nadia Shifrin
* Big Music Jam– bring your instruments, voices, and cheering sections.
The only thing is not included in our evening is boredom. We will have fun, have great food and great conversation. Hope to see you there!
