Build
From rapid response to long-term solutions, under the Build pillar, Nova Ukraine addresses critical infrastructure challenges that directly affect people’s safety and survival. We are often among the first to respond after Russian missile attacks, providing immediate assistance such as debris removal and materials to secure damaged buildings. We fund the construction and repair of bomb shelters, ensure access to safe drinking water, and help critical infrastructure facilities prepare for winter by restoring heating systems and installing solar panels as alternative energy sources during power outages.

Empowering Ukraine through Alternative Energy Sources
Our goal is to raise funds for building renewable solar power solutions for critically hit and damaged schools in Ukraine. This will help them operate through Ukraine’s energy crisis due to the constant shelling of power stations, as well as create a solid foundation for using Green energy moving forward. This effort is in support of the Energy4Ukraine project. We aim to raise $10,000 and draw attention to the importance of renewable energy when Ukraine is rebuilt after the victory. The Energy4Ukraine initiative is committed to creating renewable solutions for schools and other critical infrastructure. We aim to garner societal attention and raise funds for infrastructure reconstruction and sustainable development. What We Do Our Goals

Humanitarian Demining
Covering an extensive 30% of Ukraine’s territory, the danger of landmines poses a significant threat. To combat this, Nova Ukraine has stepped forward with the Humanitarian Demining Project, a targeted initiative built on Education, Equipment, and Innovation principles. Nova Ukraine is dedicated to helping support adequate training for first responders. We invest in teaching methodologies that include the innovative use of custom ordnance recognition crates and 3D-printed materials. Paired with this educational commitment, we work to equip first responders with demining gear, ranging from protective suits and specialized tools to customized vehicles for demining and transportation. Further, we’re tapping into the potential of modern technology to refine and accelerate demining operations, integrating resources like automated detection systems and robotic demining tools. We aim to expedite the demining process, minimize risk, and move steadily towards our ultimate goal – Ukraine, free of the danger of landmines. Support Our Efforts

Supporting First Responders in Ukraine
Nova Ukraine is supporting first responders in different regions of Ukraine. With each missile strike or shell that hits a Ukrainian city, a brave team of first responders arrives on scene to put out a fire in someone's home, office, or factory. Equipment and basic supplies, from firefighters’ clothing to fire trucks, are required more than ever. Ukraine was not ready for this madness – no firefighting operation is equipped for putting out hundreds of new fires every single day. Nova Ukraine delivers donated fire equipment to Ukraine from Canada, Europe, and the United States. We're grateful to Canadian organization Firefighter Aid Ukraine and local departments such as the San Jose Fire Department for donating much needed firefighting equipment. Latest Updates

Rebuilding in Ukraine
The damage caused by Russian troops has already been severe, and the road to rebuild will be a long one. But with your support, our partners in Ukraine are up to the challenge. Helping Hand is a community coalition made up of construction workers and search and rescue operators. This group is organized by group leader Sergey Stech and funded by Nova Ukraine. After intensive training and cooperation with the Ukrainian military, Helping Hand has become the first volunteer group to enter Bucha and Irpin. Following liberation from Russian forces, the military began clearing mines from the streets. The amount of explosives left behind by Russian troops is extreme: In a single day, military technicians cleared over 400kg of explosives from residential areas surrounding Bucha. Our volunteers at Helping Hand remove debris in the cleared areas and continue to alert the military of any additional unexploded ordnance. In addition to this dangerous work, Helping Hand is dedicated to rebuilding efforts, supplying food through field kitchens, and restoring generator power for key community services. In Hostomel, an area of more than 25,000 people, there is no water, electricity or gas, and people cook food on fires in the streets. 100+Construction Volunteers

Winter Support
Nova Ukraine takes on the challenges of the upcoming winter through reconstruction and resupply. In recent months Russia has resorted to an opportunistic strategy targeting civilian infrastructure – focusing on increasing hardship among defenseless and vulnerable families by depriving them of basic services. In many places, the goal is complete destruction of Ukraine’s electric power plants and water systems. Since the start of the war, Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes to crowd in bombed-out buildings and basements with inadequate windows and insulation or heating and plumbing systems. These two crises – refugees and infrastructure – present incredible challenges for the nation and its civilian population as the country heads into winter. With nighttime temperatures already dropping below freezing, the problem of shelter and clean water is now urgent. Although the Russian bombardment of critical infrastructure will not dampen Ukrainians’ resolve, when cities are no longer able to provide basic sewage and heating services, hardship, disease, and hunger inevitably increase. Without safe or warm places to stay, many more people will have to leave their homes behind, which threatens to exacerbate Ukraine’s already dire refugee crisis. This winter, Nova Ukraine is launching a campaign to equip homes and families with the critical supplies to stay warm this winter. Your support of Nova Ukraine’s volunteers on the ground is an important piece of the humanitarian work bringing safety and stability to the war’s victims. 900+Generators Purchased

Humanitarian Aid to Avdiivka
Humanitarian Aid to Avdiivka There are thousands of people suffering now in the Eastern Ukrainian city of Avdiivka without food, heating or electricity because pro-Russian separatists are firing heavy weapons at them. Ukrainian president interrupted his visit in Germany because of it. The purpose of these Russian-backed forces is to break Ukraine down on the international arena. As the report from the United State Department of State states: “Since January 28, the OSCE’s Special Monitoring Mission has reported a dramatic increase in fighting, including with heavy artillery and other weapons proscribed by the Minsk agreements. The fighting has caused dozens of Ukrainian military casualties and 10 civilian casualties. It has also left 17,000 civilians, including 2,500 children, without water, heat, or electricity. To avert a larger humanitarian crisis, we call for an immediate, sustained ceasefire and full and unfettered access for OSCE monitors. We also reaffirm U.S. support for full implementation of the Minsk agreements.” Why we got involved
