March is Women’s History Month, and we’re shining a light on the extraordinary women who are making history for Ukraine! In the U.S., at least seven major organizations dedicated to a peaceful and prosperous Ukraine are led by women.
We asked the women who lead these groups: “If you could give one piece of advice to young women who want to make a real difference in the world, what would it be?”
Nova Ukraine CEO Ambassador Erin E. McKee said, “Know that your voice, your urgency, your refusal to accept what is — these are not liabilities. They are precisely what leadership demands. Especially now, when the stakes are this high.”
Tonya Levchuk, Co-founder and Executive Director of the Liberty Ukraine Foundation, said, “Some things are simply meant to happen and are beyond our control. What we can do is accept them, learn from them, and keep moving forward. One day, you will look back and realize that even the hardest waves carried you exactly where you were meant to be. Just keep going!”
