Nova Ukraine Partners with The Kyiv Independent to Support War Crimes Investigations
Nova Ukraine is partnering with The Kyiv Independent to host a special event in New York in support of the newsroom’s War Crimes Investigations Unit (WCIU) — a dedicated team documenting Russia’s crimes against civilians in Ukraine. All proceeds from the event will directly fund the unit’s ongoing investigations. The WCIU’s work grows ever more vital as Russia continues to commit war crimes with devastating consequences for Ukrainian communities. Through on-the-ground reporting, verification, and storytelling, the team ensures that these crimes are recorded, recognized, and never forgotten. The latest, 10th, documentary produced by the team touches upon a painful topic of Russia’s militarization of Ukrainian children. During the evening, you will be able to meet the reporters and managing team, hear firsthand stories and behind-the-scenes insights into reporting from Kyiv Independent journalists, explore the documentaries and more.
