Our guest Leonid Maslov stood on Maidan, later joined Ukrainian ATO forces to become a scout and reconnaissance drone operator. His unit in 92nd brigade was protecting a strategic bridge over Severskij Donetsk near Schastye, Luhnask Region. It were his comrades who fought and captured two Russian special troopers later exchanged for Nadiya Savchenko. Leonid was probably the first to deliver the news about that encounter.
Currently Leonid continues to serve Ukraine as a lawyer and an active concerned citizen. He is directly involved in police reform in Kharkiv where he joined a police examination commission. Leonid knows first hand many Ukrainian political and public figures and can answer hard questions about the real situation on the ground.
