Purchase Urgently Needed Supplies with ShortageUA
Nova Ukraine has partnered with ShortageUA to coordinate the purchase of critically needed medical supplies.
Current critical need:
- Individual First Aid (IFAK) kits
- Hemostatic dressings (CELOX Z-fold gauze, SURGICEL, GELFOAM), bandages and gauzes
- Stretchers / backboards
- Rigid cervical collars
- Splints – fixation of the upper/lower limbs (i.e. SAM splint, Quick splint, vacuum splints)
- Suture materials (i.e. Prolene, Vicryl, all sizes)
- Angiocath – 18G, 20G, 22G
- IV Systems – Syringe/IV starter kit/IV tubing
- Tourniquets
- Chest seals (HALO seal, FOX seal, Hyfin)
Bed Donations
Nova Ukraine has provided medical aid, equipment, funding, and more to thousands of Ukrainians affected by the war in different ways. However, one crucial item that is often overlooked is beds. Whether it’s for the brave soldiers in hospitals who are recovering from their injuries or simply displaced citizens, a proper bed is an essential item to have.

Small In-Kind Donations
We have partnered with MedShare to accept small-scale and non-urgent in-kind medical donations for Ukraine. A list of acceptable Surplus Medical Supplies and Biomedical Equipment items can be found on their donation page. Please make sure all packages include an inventory list of items and a note specifying the donation is “in the Benefit of Nova Ukraine.” Items must be neatly packaged and labeled appropriately to help save volunteers time. Please only send what is currently being accepted by the organization. Most items must be new, but some durable medical equipment and biomedical devices can be gently used if thoroughly cleaned.

Donation Guidelines:
- All items must have at least 12 months left until expiration
- No pharmaceuticals/medications
- No liquids that can be ingested or injected
- Items have not had patient contact
