Serhiy Zhadan in San Francisco Bay Area!

Come and get a chance to hear answers to your questions about Ukraine from Serhiy Zhadan, Ukraine’s best-known poet.

His work has been translated into German, English, Swedish, French, Italian, Polish, Hungarian, Slovak, Slovenian, Serbian, Croatian, Lithuanian, Belarusian, Russian and Armenian.
His novel, “Voroshilovgrad,” won the Jan Michalski Prize for Literature in Switzerland; he has drawn enthusiastic audiences in Austria, Germany, and Poland. In 2016 Serhiy Zhadan received the Ukrainian Book of the Year Award for his novel Mesopotamia.

He performs in the band Sobaky v Kosmosi (Dogs in Space). Sergiy is also an activist, he helped organize Euromaidan demonstrations in Kharkiv in 2013. You can see his bio on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serhiy_Zhadan
